Good bye 2010

HELLO DEAR FRIENDS!!!!

Before i share some scrapbooking with you i want get you up to date with life :)

My forever gorgeous Isabella just turned 3 last weekend!! We had an animal themed party as she loves aniamls!!! She is growing sooo fast!!! She's very tall for her age and cheeky and clever! She started day-care full time in July, and only just stoped at the start of December, she misses all her friends. Such a social little butterfly!

I am currently at uni doing a double degree!!! (hence why isabella is at day care) I'm studying Education (Both Primary and Secondary) and Science (Majoring in Biology and Minoring in Chemistry). It keeps me very busy!! I started in July, and did very well last semester! I am very happy with my results with 4 distinctions :)

2010 was massive for me :) I'm debt free, I lost 12kg, i got a new car (its a 1999 red lancer which is what ive ALWAYS wanted) and Bella and I have moved out from my parents place and are renting a little townhouse on our own :) So maybe now you can see why i havent had much time for scrapbooking :) BUT.. now that i am on holidays that what i plan to do! i have alot of memories to catch up on!!

Below are some layouts i did a few months ago actually of some zoo photos from June 2010

This is a pink layout of Bella! Photo taken at my Grandma's 70th Birthday in January!

This is my latest creation! I had to scrap Melbourne's CRAZY weather!! Raining one minute and sunny the next! On this particular day we had hail, then an hour later the sun was shining then a few hours after that it was raining again!

Lastly, i wanted to share this cutie that i have hanging on my wall. We went to Townsville on my mid semester break in September to visit my best friend who has just started children's photography! couldn't resit getting some pics of my angel.

I hope everyone has a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! Stay safe!! Remember it's not all about the presents!! It's about spending time with your loved ones :)

A long post with some layouts to share...

Hi everyone, thanks for taking the time to stop by my blog {big hugs} I have so much to share, i've been busy scrapping all weekend and here are my layouts..

Feeding the Ducks:

I went to spotlight this morning actually and brought these American Craft Papers having in mind the photos i wanted to scrap. The inspiration for this layout came from Krissy as i used one of her sketches from CISter's Stylish Sketches Blog. I had so many photos and i didnt know what to do with them all! So.. I made a little tab and hid them in the layout.

Bright Blue Eyes:

I took this photo of Bella last week and thought... my little princess is growing up sooooo fast!!!! The cherry blossom branch i brought from D-Lish Scraps only $2.80! Amanda has alot of gorgeous flowers and embelishments in her store that i am constantly buying from ;)

Garden Fairy:

This layout i wanted to look vintage-like..... i'm not very good at vintage but i thought i'd give it ago.. i printed the butterflies off the computer which i think work so effective! The chipboard flowers are from Mad About Scrapping! i love Leanne's chipboard!!

Making Muffins:

Lastly, Isabella was helping nanny make some muffins on her day off and couldnt resist getting the camera out. I made the little cupcake/muffin tops out of different pp and the base i used from the kasier pp sugar sugar.

Moving to other news now.... One of my layouts is in this months issue of Scrapbooking Memories!!! Vol 12 No 5 page 102. My layout Love Birds appears in the Love Gallery. As i was so very excited to see my work being published for the first and only time, i was upset as to which layout it was.. it was one of myself and ex fiancee who i now hate... Seeing photos of us brought back alot of bad memories... ALSO.. i wanted to congratulate my good friends Belynda {Our Love Continues to Grow pg 82} and Chris {Outdoor Boy pg 131} who's layouts were also published in the same issue!

Dolly's adventure at the park

This is my latest layout! I haven't done many double layouts but i had so many photo's!! instead of journalling, i wanted the photos to tell the story!! Isabella takes her dolly everywhere, it's too cute!! She even made her dolly 'walk' up the stairs to the slide hehe. I used the bright colours on the playground for inspiration and used bright colours in these layouts :)

These photos were taken late last year and i have finally had the chance to scrap them! It was a very good day with my precious daughter!
This layout include photos from isabella's 2nd birthday! she loves birthdays and singing "happy birthday" and blowing the candles!!

Izzy's 2nd birthday

So many photos were taken from Isabella's party i thought i would include the main ones into one layout! I wanted it to be bright and colourful! Very different to my scrapping style!
Isabella had a tinkerbell themed party. It was great fun!! I made the cake!! Everything is made out of icing except the tinkerbell figurines! I had alot of help from a friend of mine who is a cake decorater. i dont think i could have done it without her! i was really happy with the finished result.Here is a family photo taken from isabella's birthday. I love the little birds :)

Inchies, CJ Entries and a Bird House OTP

HELLO fellow bloggers, i know it has been a while.. i wanted to share a few things i have been crafting over the past month or so..

Below is the Kaiser Bird-house which i have used to store my ribbons on. I have a thing with birds lately so i had to buy it..

This is Christine's Circle journal Entry.. "5 things you can't live without" ofcourse my precious daughter isabella was at the top of the list!
Here is the entry i did in Lana's CJ.. Her theme is "Your fave disney Song" I thouse it was an awesome theme cause i love all things disney!! i chose to scrap the song "Refelection" from Mulan. One of my fave movies!

The theme is GIRL so i couldn't go wrong with pink/purple butterflies/flowers

Christmas LO using New Kaiser Q2

This is a layout i made of Bella and Santa Last Year. I have used the NEW kaisercraft Q2 "Christimas Carnival" range. It was my favourite range out of the new releases. I went to the Kaiser Warehouse in Geelong and it's AWESOME!!!! It's set up really nice!! Has a HUGE class room, tea and coffee, kidds area and ALL thing KAISER!!

Here is a layout below i did as part of the guest design team on Scrapping Out Loud.. The challenge this week is to create a layout with a quote for the title and the journalling must be one part speech, i have choosen adjectives...

Thanks for having a looksie at my latest work.. I had a few hours to myself today at the shops and i had to go and buy the 2nd book from the Twilight series!!! This is coming from someone who NEVER reads!!! i mean ever!!! I think someone has become addicted to Twilight... Thanks Girls!!!

Sushi Princess

Here is my take on the 'Recipe Challenge' over at the Crafting In Stlye Cybercrop. I can't believe how much isabella loves sushi!! I buy it for myself for lunch and she ends up eatting it and i have to finish her mc donalds. LOL. Don't you hate it when you get 'stuck' on a layout?! I changed it 3-4 times!!! I had these oriental paper lanterns that i cut up to use and didnt end up putting the 'tissue paper' on my layout!! Then i found some bamboo off the net and printed it to acetate and didnt end up using that either!! I also found a cute bird lanten which i didnt use.. so here is the finished layout LOL
